3 Important Questions About dōTERRA Essential Oils

 1. CAN ANYONE USE dōTERRA ESSENTIAL OILS SAFELY?  

Yes, but there are a few things to consider.

There are only a few considerations to note when using oils while pregnant. Birch, cassia, cinnamon, clary sage, rosemary, thyme, wintergreen and peppermint are NOT recommended, so check with your healthcare provider with questions concerning these oils. Remember also to always dilute with a carrier oil such as coconut oil.

You will want to dilute with a carrier oil when using essential oils topically with babies, small children, and senior adults; and know internal use is NOT recommended. 

Lastly, a few essential oils may be an issue if you are on certain medications. If this applies to you, do your due diligence of research and check with your healthcare provider.

2. HOW CAN I USE dōTERRA ESSENTIAL OILS?

There are three ways to safely use essential oils: aromatically (breathing them in), topically (applying to the skin with carrier oil), and some internally (in liquid, with food, or in capsule).

3. MY BOTTLE FROM THE STORE SAYS THE OIL IS 100% PURE. HOW IS dōTERRA ANY DIFFERENT?

Unlike food and drugs, essential oils are not regulated by the FDA. Meaning, what’s labeled on the bottle might not actually be what’s in it. Some companies that label their oils as ‘100% pure’ can be adulterated or synthetic and they do NOT recommend internal use for that reason.
