Vaginal Birth after a Cesarean section, VBAC... you can do it!
"Timely Topics in Childbirth" Radio Archives
Did you know that 1 in 4 women who go to a hospital today will face a cesarean section? Did you know, that saying "once a c-section, always a c-section" is a myth for most women and that VBAC is safer? Did you know there are ways your doctor or midwife can help prevent cesareans?
Lynette Thomas is the San Diego Chapter leader for the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN). She will be not only joining us to answer those questions. She shares about the emotional and physical aftermath of this major abdominal surgery. She talks about the extra care needed by women who have gone threw this experience. And coping strategies for postpartum. With a B.S. in chemistry/biochemistry with a minor in Psychology from UCSD, Lynette tells her personal story of c-section and VBAC. If you know someone who has just had a baby this way. Call them up and have them tune in. Cause this will be a great show.
